Job Description:
- Project design: Analyzing data, plans, and maps to design projects. This includes using design software to create blueprints and renderings.
- Project feasibility: Assessing the potential risks and costs of a project, including environmental impacts, building regulations, and local regulations.
- Project management: Managing budgets, resources, and the construction process. This includes overseeing contractors and junior staff, and ensuring projects are completed on time.
- Permit applications: Submitting applications to local, state, and federal agencies to ensure projects comply with regulations.
- Construction: Performing or overseeing surveying, and ensuring the line level of the construction site is maintained.
- Maintenance: Managing the maintenance and repair of infrastructure projects.
- Communication: Liaising with clients, architects, subcontractors, and other professionals.
- Risk management: Assessing the potential risks of projects and managing risk.
- Public meetings: Attending public meetings to discuss projects, especially in senior roles.
