Fire Manager/ Sr.Fire Manager in a leading service providing Industry

Job Description:

• Lead end-to-end execution of fire fighting projects, including planning, design review,procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
•  Ensure all fire fighting systems (hydrant, sprinkler, fire alarm, gas suppression, fire pumps) are designed and installed as per NBC, NFPA, local fire department, and other applicable statutory norms.
• Liaise with fire department authorities and other regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals, NOCs, and clearances.
•  Manage a team of engineers, site supervisors, and technicians; allocate resources and monitor project timelines to ensure timely delivery.
• Oversee vendor and subcontractor management, including negotiation, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
• Prepare and review project budgets, cost estimates, and BOQs; monitor project profitability and control costs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal cross-functional teams (sales, design, procurement) to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct periodic site inspections and audits to ensure quality standards, safety protocols, and compliance are maintained.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide guidance to the team on complex fire fighting system challenges.
• Prepare MIS reports, project status updates, and presentations for senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, safety standards, and operational efficiency within the division.
• Stay updated on the latest fire safety technologies, codes, and industry best practices.

Qualifications :

•  B.E./B.Tech in Fire & Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. A Diploma in Fire & Safety Engineering with relevant experience will also be considered.
• Certifications (preferred): NEBOSH, IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers), NFPA certification, or equivalent fire safety/fire protection certification.

Experience:

• Manager: 8–12 years of relevant experience in fire fighting/fire protection systems (design, execution, or project management).
• Sr. Manager: 12–18 years of relevant experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership/team-handling role.

Industry Background:

• Experience in fire fighting system installation companies, MEP contracting firms, real estate/infrastructure companies, or fire safety consultancies preferred.

 Technical Knowledge:

• Sound knowledge of NBC (National Building Code), NFPA standards, local fire department norms, fire hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, fire alarm & detection systems, gas suppression systems, and fire pump rooms.

Other Skills:

• Strong knowledge of tendering, vendor management, project costing, and statutory/regulatory compliance (Fire NOC approvals, etc.). Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant design/estimation software is an added advantage.
