Job Description:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience: 3 to 6 years of solid experience in PPIC, Inventory Control, or Material Management, explicitly within a hydraulic equipment, heavy machinery, or customized fabrication manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of hydraulic components (valves, cylinders, pumps) and their storage/handling sensitivities (e.g., preventing contamination of seals and polished piston rods).
  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis.
  1. Bill of Materials (BOM) & Master Data Management
  • Maintain, update, and audit accurate BOMs for complex hydraulic assemblies, including Hydraulic Power Packs (valves, pumps, motors, tanks, etc.) and Hydraulic Cylinders (tubes, piston rods, flanges, seals).
  • Collaborate with the Design/Engineering team to seamlessly implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) into the production system.
  1. Inventory & Stock Planning
  • Establish and optimize safety stock levels, reorder points, and maximum inventory thresholds for critical long-lead items (e.g., submersible motors, specialized valves) and high-volume consumables (e.g., oil seals, gaskets).
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical stock verification to ensure 98%+ inventory accuracy.
  1. Material Requirement & Purchase Planning (MRP)
  • Analyze the production schedule to forecast material requirements and generate timely purchase requisitions.
  • Coordinate closely with the Procurement team to ensure raw materials and components arrive Just-In-Time (JIT), preventing production downtime and excess capital lock-up 4. Storage & Warehouse Optimization
  • Design and implement efficient storage layouts tailored to diverse components—from heavy, bulky items (cylinder tubes, tanks) to delicate, precision parts (oil seals, electronic junction boxes).
  • Enforce FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices and visual management (5S) across the storage area.
