Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record of developing and maintaining strong relationships with premium architects and designers. This role is a hands-on position, focused on individual sales contributions rather than team management. You will be responsible for driving sales and market share by getting our exclusive range of high-end tiles specified in prestigious commercial and residential projects. This role requires a blend of sales acumen, technical product knowledge, and a deep understanding of the architectural and design process.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Architect & Designer Engagement:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with leading architects and interior designers in the region.
  • Drive product specifications in both retail and commercial projects through effective engagement and influence.
  1. Product Promotion:
  • Conduct product presentations and design consultations for architects and designers to get Company's products specified.
  • Ensure a comprehensive understanding of company's product portfolio and communicate its unique features and benefits.
  1. IIID Collaboration:
  • Actively engage with the regional IIID (Indian Institute of Interior Designers).
  • Represent company at IIID events and seminars to contribute to the brand's visibility within the design community.
  1. Sales & Revenue Growth:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve individual sales targets and maximize revenue.
  1. Market Analysis:
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new product launches, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  1. Reporting:
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, project pipeline, and market feedback to senior management.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  1. Exceptional Communication:Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  2. Strategic Thinking:Ability to develop and execute long-term strategic account plans.
  3. Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of technical specifications.
  4. Industry Acumen:Strong knowledge of the architectural and interior design process, as well as an understanding of the premium building materials market.
  5. CRM Proficiency:Experience with CRM software like ZOHO or similar tools is a must.
  6. Education:Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, or a related field.
  7. Experience:Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or business development, with a strong focus on architects and designers within the building materials or premium interiors industry. Experience with tile products is highly preferred.
