Job Description:

Purpose of Role: Commercial Department is seeking highly motivated commercial professionals with relevant skill sets that can be further developed in alignment with company's business. The person will oversee and drive opportunity identification to award phase for Offshore Oil and Gas Projects.

Commercial and Business Development

• Support appraisal and Bid Go/No Go decision process for offshore oil and gas projects by conducting techno commercial analysis, basic financial modeling, and contract and risk reviews.
• Assist in preparation and coordination of internal documents and presentations required for approvals during contract negotiation phases (Lease/BOO/BOT/EPC), working with internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with legal, technical, and finance teams to support project-specific commercial processes before project award.

Tendering and Proposals

• Assist in preparation and submission of EOIs, commercial proposals, and RFP responses, ensuring timely coordination with cross-functional contributors.
• Support business development initiatives by tracking opportunities in offshore oil & gas segment, and maintaining a pipeline of leads.
• Conduct periodic research and compile assessments of market trends, key players, and activity across regions and sub-sectors within the energy value chain.

Critical Success Factor for the Job Role: 

  • Commercially astute, able to understand and effectively communicate Company’s position
  • An understanding of and familiarity in large-scale Infrastructure projects.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with a logical thought process, to sort, analyze and creatively interpret large amount of qualitative data
  • Ability to analyze and summarize contracts
  • Ability to conduct primary and secondary research
  • Great coordination skills

  • Patience and deep reading
  • Flexibility, willingness, and ability to adapt to change including willingness to travel

Qualification and Experience:

  • MBA from Tier 1 Management school (ISB/IIM/XLRI etc)
  • Two years of experience in relevant sector - Proven track record in Commercial negotiations of large-scale infrastructure projects.

Technical Competencies & Skills:

• Understanding of the oil and gas market, upstream, mid-stream, downstream
• Ability to analyze and summarize commercial contracts
• Ability to conduct primary and secondary research
• Critical thinking and understanding of finer implications of commercial clauses


Job Location: Fort, Mumbai
  

*Working Hours/ Office Timings: 10 AM - 6 PM (Monday to Friday)
