Hiring Estimation and Proposal Engineer for a Leading Manufacturing Industry - Ahmedabad Location

Job Summary:

• The Estimation and Proposal Engineer will oversee and lead the activities of the Estimation and proposal Department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications, electrical plans, and technical drawings to determine the requirements for panelboards and related equipment.
• Analyze load schedules, single‐line diagrams, and other technical documentation to ensure accurate estimation.
• Prepare precise cost estimates for electrical panelboards, including materials, labor, transportation costs.
• Calculate costs for custom and standard panelboard configurations.
• Select appropriate panelboard types, circuit breakers, busbars, and enclosures based on project specifications and load requirements.
• Source and evaluate quotations from vendors and suppliers for materials and components
• Develop detailed and competitive bid proposals for electrical panelboards, ensuring compliance with client specifications and project requirements.
• Present alternative cost‐effective solutions where applicable.
• Use specialized estimation software (XLrate) and tools to calculate costs and produce accurate estimates.
• Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, proposals, and related technical documents.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and summary reports for internal review and client submission.
• Track and analyze completed project data to improve future estimation accuracy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and accurate estimations.
• Offer post‐bid support to clients, including clarifications and revisions as needed.
• Negotiate with customer to close the bid and achieve the monthly target.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
• Good skill and command on MS Excel
• Skill to study SLD
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in Electrical or EC Engineering
• Minimum experience of 3‐5 year in sales or Estimation field with Electrical or Electronic companies.
• Comparable record of sales leadership experience required.
