Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer to join our team, focusing on designing and developing safe packaging solutions for our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in packaging engineering, materials science, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Development: Design, test, and optimize packaging solutions to ensure product safety, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Material Selection: Select and specify packaging materials, considering factors like durability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
  3. Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure packaging designs meet safety standards, regulations, and industry guidelines (e.g., ISO, ASTM, FDA).
  4. Testing and Validation: Conduct testing and validation of packaging designs, including drop testing, vibration testing, and other relevant tests.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, quality) to ensure packaging solutions meet product requirements and customer needs.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new materials, and technologies to continuously improve packaging designs and processes.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation of packaging designs, testing, and validation.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  2. Experience: 8+ years of experience in packaging engineering, preferably in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceutical, medical device, food)

Skills:

    - Proficiency in packaging design software (e.g., CAD, SolidWorks).

    - Knowledge of packaging materials, testing methods, and safety regulations.

    - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  1. Experience with: Packaging design for hazardous materials, dangerous goods, or lithium batteries.
  2. Knowledge of: Sustainability principles, eco-friendly packaging materials, and circular economy concepts.
  3. Familiarity with: Industry-specific regulations (e.g., FDA, EU MDR, IATA).
