Logistics & Procurement Officer for Frozen Food Industry for West Africa – Ghana

Job Description:

• Any Graduate with Min 5-10 years of experience in logistic and procurement in Shipping/Forwarding industry.
• Identifying suppliers: Researching and assessing suppliers to find the best goods and services at reasonable prices. Identify best carriers/forwarders and negotiate freight/service fees to ship goods from overseas to Ghana.
• Negotiating contracts: Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers/forwarders/carriers to ensure cost-efficiency and timely deliveries. Following up on all orders to ensure goods are shipped and loaded as and when required by the HQ.
• Managing inventory: Monitoring inventory levels to ensure timely deliveries. Working with international forwarders and shipping carriers to schedule loading as per company stock requirements. 
• Maintaining records: Keeping records of purchases, pricing, and performance. Following daily and monthly product schedules.
• Ensuring compliance: Ensuring sub-contracts, consultant, and other service contracts are in compliance with policy 
• Managing project property: Managing project property control and inventory management 
• Following up on purchase orders: Following up on purchase order statuses and keeping project managers informed of delivery times and any changes 
• Ensuring quality: Ensuring all expected merchandise is received in accordance with specifications and that all goods are in good condition 
• Maintaining asset records: Keeping appropriate records on assets disposal and regularly updating the asset inventory list 

Salary - Up to USD 2000 monthly
