ETL Developer + SSRS Report Writer

Job Description:

• Proficient with Microsoft SSIS ETL tools.
• Design and develop SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers to be used during the ETL process.
• Designing and developing SSIS / SQL ETL solutions to acquire and prepare data from numerous upstream systems. Builds data transformations including importing data from files, moving data from one database platform to another.
• Debug and tune SSIS or other ETL processes to ensure accurate and efficient movement of data.
• Design, implement and maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes,) and database security.
• Analyze and develop strategies and approaches to import and transfer data between source, staging, and ODS/Data Warehouse destinations.
• Test and prepare ETL processes for deployment to production and non-production environments.
• Support system and acceptance testing including the development or refinement of test plans.
• As the ETL/BI Developer you will be coding, testing, debugging, implementing, and documenting.
• Creating documentation to show work / data flows (DFD, ERD,) and end - user resources.
• Working as a part of a team to manage and deliver quality and robust system enhancements to critical systems, as required by the business.
• Thorough knowledge of SSIS components with a broad range of experience transforming data from CSV files, XML files, and common relational database sources and destinations
• Hands-on development experience with Transact-SQL, including stored procedure development.
• Strong knowledge of relational database logical and physical design including star schemas and data cubes
• Experience in working with distributed development teams.

Note: Knowledge of PowerBI, SSRS, Azure Data Factory and Bigdata technologies (HDFS, Hbase, Hive, Scala, MongoDB, Spark) would be a plus.
