Job Description:

Experience: A minimum of 8 years in sales leadership experience is required in chemical industry - specifically handling products like alkyds, unsaturated/ saturated polyester resins, epoxy curing agents, acrylics or similar products. Experience in technical sales of above mentioned resin products is beneficial.

Education: A bachelor’s or higher degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or business management is required. MBA can be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement both short- and long-term sales strategies to increase market share and achieve revenue and margin targets. This includes market analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Business Development: Actively pursue new business opportunities, new geographies, promote new products, and expand the company's client base.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and build strong, long-term relationships with key customers , distributors, and agents.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to inform sales strategy and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Pricing and Negotiation: Set pricing strategies, negotiate contracts, and close deals to ensure profitability.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Technical Knowledge:  Understanding of paints and resin industry, including product types, applications, and market dynamics.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership ability to manage and motivate sales teams in diverse markets.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills to build relationships and effectively convey technical product information.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage challenges such as fluctuating raw material prices, supply chain disruptions, and changing customer requirements.
